This is interesting. I had a recent comment at my site from someone who's doing a dissertation on this subject, ie the effects of media concentration on the media's richness and diversity. I passed this stuff his way with the request he pass along his finished work.

And apropos of that, the FCC is having hearings about the media ownership rules that makes this all possible, with an eye to repealing what little controls are left.
