Election day in Atlanta

ajc.com | Some computers switched votes to opponents

Today I voted in what I hear is the first statewide electronic general election. It seems to have gone smoothly, and the interface was fairly simple; I suspect that I voted more quickly than before, which is certainly a good thing.

There have been reports like the one above (from right around the corner from my house) in a number of jurisdictions here in Georgia and in Florida, which is using electronic voting in a few jurisdictions. Early reports have very heavy turnout here in Georgia.

Voter News Service has abandoned its exit poll due to software problems on the computer tabulating exit poll results.

And, sadly, AllPolitics, which used to offer some of the best political coverage on the web, no longer resolves.
