Donk donk donk donk donk donk donk donk
A site dedicated to that underappreciated rock standby, the cowbell.
Includes a searchable database of tunes that feature the instrument (?), which would be handy if you were auditioning for a cowbell gig.
Here you'll find some of the top cowbell songs ever. These are the songs that took this dark, clanging demon and pounded the essence of rock into your veins and left imprints of the dark master in your subconscious. Click on the track and you'll hear why the cowbell, when used properly, is the perfect instrument. The most cowbell-dependent band of all would appear to be Kiss, with 7 cowbellicious tunes, followed by Guns 'n' Roses and the Beatles with 6 each.
Also archives the SNL sketch (5.9 meg MP3) where Christopher Walken, as the producer working on Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper", insists they've got a hit if they can just get a "little more cowbell."

C'mon, Mountain's Mississippi Queen is *the* classic rock cowbell tune! Doesn't hurt that it also features Leslie West's fat guitar tones. (I mean the *sound* was fat! Well, yeah, Leslie was fat, too...)

One of the greatest cowbell albums ever is MOTLEY CRUE'S first record TOO FAST FOR
LOVE. Tommy Lee plays the most obnoxious sounding cowbell I've ever heard on the first six songs. especially LIVE WIRE and COME ON AND DANCE.
